As soon as I entered this home, I felt lucky to be one of the first to see it because I just knew it would sell fast. The previous owners had already done all of the upgrades I wanted, including hardwood floors throughout the public areas, a beautifully updated kitchen, and crown molding throughout. It was clear the house had been meticulously maintained. But the view was what sealed the deal! I pictured myself enjoying my morning coffee on the covered, pavered patio while taking in the serene view across the pond and natural preserve beyond. I dreamed of fixing breakfast in my gourmet kitchen while watching the morning news on the TV in the family room with a fire blazing in the fireplace. I'd chat with the kids eating breakfast at the granite peninsula before heading off to school.These days, I remember fondly the many cookies baked in the double oven, part of the Samsung Chef Collection, which actually converts to one large oven to accommodate the Thanksgiving turkey! The microwave above is handy for additional oven space or warming leftovers the next day. I love all of the open counter space, especially during the holidays, when everyone pitches in around the center island. The 42 inch high cabinets and pantry provide plenty of storage, even after a large haul from the grocery store.

On special occasions we move to the formal dining room to eat around the "fancy table" as the kids call it, out of view of the sink-full of dirty pots and pans in the kitchen.

Often Hubby sits in the breakfast nook enjoying his morning paper while I cook. Once the kids leave, he retreats to his home office, closing the French doors behind him, and he doesn't emerge until lunch time. It's such a blessing to be able to work remotely in the comfort of home these days!

With the laundry room right off the kitchen, I typically do a load of laundry while I'm cooking, before retreating to our luxurious master suite to do a little reading. Eventually I glance up to see a large blue crane swooping over the pond through the bay window next to my bed. Then I shake myself from my reverie and head to the bathroom to soak in the garden tub, or take a quick shower if I have a busy shopping day planned at the nearby mall. I love that our large walk-in closet opens off the bathroom so I don't need to wander back out to the bedroom naked to look for clothes to wear!

I have really loved this home, and it saddens me to leave it, but I know it's time to move on and let another family enjoy all it has to offer. Recent improvements we've made in preparation for selling include a brand new architectural shingle roof with 10-year labor and 50-year manufacturer's warranties, new ceiling fans and a brand new water softener with a 5-year warranty. We've maintained a transferable termite repair and replacement bond as well as a supreme coverage 210 Home Warranty which will be transfered to the new buyer at closing.
